Souvenir Shopping
Its that time of the year when we start itching to break routines and head out for a vacation! Of course, shopping is part of every holiday and we don’t really mind shelling out some money on ourselves because we’re in that cheerful, holiday mood! It’s a given to pick up souvenirs wherever you go, especially if you’re going to explore a new place.
Most times, we feel obligated to pick up some little gifts and souvenirs for friends and family. However, its tough to choose as if you start picking up expensive stuff you might not have any money left to enjoy your own holiday. In this case, its best to stick to basics. Things such as key chains, chess pieces, small idols and show pieces are good choices. They’re gender-friendly as well, so you don’t have to wrack your brains to think what to buy for your girl friends and guy friends. Even kids enjoy these little knick knacks that act as a great reminder of the place you’ve been to.
Key rings are available in various shapes, sizes and colors almost everywhere you go, whether its Florida’s Disneyland or Bangkok’s flea markets! Chess pieces and chess sets, big and small, are usually found in places such as Italy and India. Italy is famous for marble, so you can even pick up a more polished version for yourself. They look fabulous if set in the living room and can also act as a good mind game to gift some loved one.
