Electric Water Heater vs Solar Water Heater
So after coming home from my morning run in my garmin forerunner 410 I wanted to have a warm bath. So I put on my kettle and lament the fact that I did not have a water heater. I checked it out and found there were electric and solar water heaters available on the market. But which one should I choose. Here is what some experts say.
Solar water heaters are considered cheaper than electric water heaters because they use solar energy. Once you purchase a solar water heating system then your energy bill will be less as the energy is derived from the sun directly for free.
Some solar water heaters are not able to keep water hot when there is no sunlight. Therefore you need to purchase one of the insulated water heaters which will keep the water hot even when there is no sunlight such as at night. The main setback of solar heaters is that some areas might not have adequate sunlight to heat enough water for household use.
Though electric water heaters are seen to be expensive in terms of electricity consumption they are however very reliable. You can heat water at any time for your household chores especially if you are using instant water heaters. The electric water heaters may consume a lot of energy and may take a lot of time to heat the water.
You should go for the energy saving water heaters which experts are trying to advise people to use.
